Jimmy Gopperth
Jimmy Gopperth made his 1st class debut for Wellington in NZ in 2002. Since then he has gone on to play for the Junior All Blacks,Wellington Lions,Hurricanes,Blues, North Harbour, Newcastle,Leinster,The Barbarians and now at Wasps. Jimmy is in a very elite club of players who have experienced Super Rugby, the Pro 14 and the English Premiership.
As one of the world’s leading goal-kickers, Gopperth has amassed over 3000 points during his on going career.
Currently playing at Wasps the experienced back has demonstrated play-making, defensive, kicking and running skills while wearing the 10,12 or 15 jersey to the highest level.
After writing his name into Wasps folklore with a European Cup quarter-final-winning touchline conversion against Exeter in 2016, Gopperth’s phenomenal 2016/17 campaign saw him named as Premiership, RPA and Wasps player-of-the-season. In addition he lifted the Golden Boot for a third time having previously twice finished as the Premiership’s top marksman during his time with the Falcons.
