Sporturo.com is the home for accomplished & award-winning freelance sports photographer Tim Williams (LRPS) who has been photographing rugby, from grass-roots up to World Cup level, for the past ten years and can regularly be found pitch-side at rugby grounds up and down the country.
Although specialising in the sport of Rugby, regularly shooting the Six Nations/Autumn Internationals and as a club photographer for Sale Sharks in the Gallagher Premiership and European Rugby Champions Cup, Tim also covers other major sporting events in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. Alongside the oval ball he has a great love for anything with an engine & regularly covers Formula One, Le Mans 24 Hours, MotoGP and the World Rally Championship.
A member of the Sports Journalists' Association of Great Britain, the AIPS International Sports Press Association & The Royal Photographic Society, Tim has been capturing major sporting highlights around the World for over ten years during which he has established both an extensive & diverse portfolio of sporting images.
Tim is a Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society, which is an educational charity promoting both the art & science of photography & aims to help individuals realise their potential as photographers. The patron of the RPS is her Majesty the Queen & is incorporated by Royal Charter.
Tim is a long-standing member of The Sports Journalists' Association, which represents the British sports media on the British Olympic Association's press advisory committee & acts as a consultant to organisers of major events who need guidance on media requirements.
Tim has also been an AIPS International Sports Press Association member for a number of years. The AIPS is an association of National Sports Journalists' Associations with principal objectives to promote closer links between its members & sports organisations to develop the sporting spirit & solidarity among sports journalists throughout the world & to spread the ideals of fair play in sports journalism & sports reporting.
