Kate Bennetta
Kate has been involved with Littleborough Rugby club for the last 10 years and like most people has taken on many roles within the club as a volunteer - Firstly as a parent, then team manager, elected onto the M&J Committee, appointed as M&J Fixture Secretary and then elected onto the main executive committee where after 3 years she was appointed CEO of Littleborough Sports a position that she held for 3 terms. Kate sat on both the Lancashire M&J Committee and Competition Committee for 3 years, assisting with all matters relating to u7’s – u16’s. Then appointed the RFU North Regional Women’s Competition officer for 2 years, she was the first point of contact for any fixture queries, result discrepancies and another general enquires.
In 2014 Kate was appointed the Rugby 7’s Liaison officer for the Scotland National team for the IRB international competition that was held in Manchester. In 2015 appointed a Team Base Manager for the England 2015 World Cup, where she was responsible for all activities leading up to the World Cup matches that were played in Manchester, this included overseeing the logistical and operational activities both for the All Blacks and Uruguay. Then in 2016 she was appointed U20’s World Rugby Trophy Manager, her primary purpose was to ensure that as many different venues and people got to experience and see the U20’s World Cup, in a 3-month period the trophy travelled just over 25,000 miles. Following on from the successful tour, Kate was asked to be part of the U20’s Tournament as Team Services Manager, she was the head liaison officer for all of the 12 participating teams all queries/questions went through there office regardless of how big or small.
In September 2016, Kate was approached by Sale Sharks and offered a position as Academy Administrator and Matchday Operations Manager, which she duly accepted. Her role as Administrator involves the co-ordination and logistical requirements for their DPP programme involving over 1,200 boys. Kate is responsible for the facility hire across 7 sites, collating their registration data, compiling reports, responsibility of player welfare. Kate ensures that the programme is executed and delivered at the highest standard and is also an active member of the RPPG (Regional Player Pathway Group).
As Match Day Operations Manager – Kate is responsible for all match day activities and logistical requirements at the AJ Bell Stadium, (excluding the actual match) this includes being the on duty safeguarding manager, disability officer and welfare officer for all members of the general public.
Kate is also the U16’s Manager at Littleborough Rugby Club and sits on the M&J Committee and the Lancashire County Club and Community Committee.
